Weddings
“I noticed you, because I didn’t notice you.”
That is the most beautiful compliment — and the most accurate description of how I photograph a wedding — I have ever received.
Marc, a guest at one of the weddings I documented, came up to me later that evening and said those words. They’ve stayed with me ever since.
Because that’s exactly how I work.
I’m not “The Photographer.”
I’m not there to direct every move, interrupt moments, or constantly remind you that a camera is watching.
I blend in. I move quietly.
No flash. No loud shutter. No disruption — not for you, not for your guests, not for the priest during your ceremony.
You shouldn’t have to adjust your behaviour because I’m there.
After all, your wedding isn’t about me.
It’s about:
You getting ready — the nerves, the laughter, the quiet anticipation
The smiles that happen when no one thinks they’re being photographed
You
— the bride and groom —
in your most genuine, unguarded moments
The little details you carefully chose and might otherwise miss
The party — when ties loosen, heels come off, and everything becomes wonderfully unfiltered
My job is simple:
To be present without being present.
To capture everything — without ever becoming the centre of it.
And if, at the end of the night, someone tells me they didn’t notice me…
Then I’ve done my job perfectly.
